Responsibilities
The External Relations Department (ERD) formulates strategies and policies to establish and develop relations and co-operation with countries and various international organisations with a view of advancing Singapore's energy interests and establishing Singapore as an energy thought leader and responsible global citizen. This includes promoting Singapore's energy interests in regional fora such as ASEAN, APEC and EAS. ERD also oversees EMA's annual flagship energy event, the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), featuring a comprehensive schedule of energy-focused conferences, exhibitions and meetings.
This is an ideal role for you if you are interested in global energy developments and international relations. You will be responsible for driving our bilateral energy engagement with Southeast Asian countries and represent Singapore's interests in multilateral fora such as ASEAN, EAS and APEC. There will also be an opportunity to be involved in other SIEW-related work that the Department oversees.
Requirements
-Good honours degree with strong analytical skills
-Able to work independently as well as within a team
-Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
-Be prepared to travel overseas for work frequently
-Prior experience in international relations would be an advantage
Remuneration and appointment will commensurate with qualifications and experience. All new appointments will be offered on contract basis.
