Responsibilities
Your role is to develop and sustain a social futures capability in MSF to enhance the strategic planning and policy formulation processes at the Senior Management level.
To this end, you will lead the in introducing new analytical techniques, reporting relevant developments in social and non-social domains both locally and overseas, and monitoring emergent issues that can impact our society.
You are expected to work closely with the Strategic Planning Branch and the Policy & Research Branch to deliver analytical thinkpieces and projects. You will also need to collaborate proactively with other Divisions in MSF, and with Futures Units in other Ministries and agencies. You will also directly support MSF’s Strategic Futures Officer (SFO), and where necessary, represent MSF at the meetings of the Strategic Futures Network chaired by the Head of Civil Service.
Requirements
You must have a good Honours or Masters degree, with at least 5 years of related work and supervisory experience. You should have strong analytical, written, communication, inter-personal and project management skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment is essential. A keen interest in social issues and an established habit of reading widely are advantages.
