International Enterprise (IE) Singapore is the government agency driving Singapore’s external economy. We spearhead the overseas growth of Singapore-based companies and promote international trade.
We partner Singapore-based companies in their international expansion through our “3C” framework of assistance (Connections, Competency and Capital), and through our global network in over 35 locations spanning many emerging markets.
We also anchor global trading companies in Singapore and position the country as a base to expand into the region in partnership with Singapore-based companies.
Responsibilities
Based in Singapore, you will help to chart Singapore’s strategy to leverage on growth opportunities in various focused markets and sectors in Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Turkey; working closely with IE Centre Directors based in Europe, including Russia and Turkey. You will help Singapore companies penetrate the European, Russian and the CIS, and Turkish markets, navigate through regulatory framework and business norms and help them establish strategic contacts with overseas counterparts. You will need to keep a close survey of the business environment to identify the key growth industries and develop strategies to help Singapore companies establish a niche in these growth industries.
Requirements
You should have a good Degree with at least 2nd Upper honours in any discipline, and preferably 1-3 years of working experience in international marketing/business development/consulting. You should be independent, resourceful and possess good business acumen and excellent analytical and communication skills. You should also be matured, have high emotional quotient, and be able to cope well under pressure and tight deadlines. Knowledge of any European languages will be an added advantage. You must be prepared to travel.
