Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) provides services for the rehabilitation of juvenile delinquents, the protection and welfare of child and families. Responsibilities
You will work as Staff Officer (Operations Management) in the Operations Branch, covering the areas of incident management in crisis intervention, mitigation of incidents and submission of incident reports as well as enforcing operational standards and exercising operations control in the residential institutions including juveniles homes {JHs}, voluntary children homes {VCHs} and welfare homes, and to work with other operational branches within the Division on operational matters.
The role includes the following duties:
- Monitor and regularise standard of care practices and procedures (within the framework of policy and law) in residential institutions.
- Provide staff support on incident and crisis management, including training related matters, media management and conducting of AAR for serious/sensitive cases.
- Coordinate with various branches within the division, ensuring high operational standards and high compliance rate
- Liaise with various ministries and agencies in the incident management framework.
- Maintain a good database system and KPIs and make regular reports and presentations to senior management.
IMPORTANT: You would be expected to rotate amongst the various branches (including the Singapore Boys' Home and Singapore Girls' Home) to develop holistic competencies in the areas of rehabilitation and protection.
Requirements;
A recognised degree with related experience, preferably in operations work in incident and crisis management and enforcing operational standards. You should possess good analytical skills, is a team player, can work independently and have pleasant personality to work with all institutions, branches and other law enforcement agencies.
