Job Description & Duties;
The candidate shall work in the Customer Solutions team as systems architect.
1.Engage customer actively to understand customer pain-points & requirement
2.Work closely with internal & external suppliers to develop winning technical solution design, technical write-up, bill of material & costing in response to tenders & customer requests
3.Drive large, complex & strategic deals integrating multiple solution domain teams
4.Provide right level of system architecture design capability during presales support, solution design & proposal preparation
5.Identify & package repeatable solution IP assets
6.Technical authority to review & validate all solution proposals. Ensure consistent & high quality solution proposal with objective to ensure no architectural design risk & zero surprise during delivery
7.Keep abreast of latest development in the area of software & systems design & development technologies.
8.Research, recommend & maintain solution reference architecture models, design & delivery methodologies for the various domain solutions
9.Conduct regular technical sharing sessions to educate & update technical community on the latest reference architectural models, reusable solution components, solution technology cross pollination, solution process & methodology
10.Monitor & guide junior team members
Requirements:
1.Broad knowledge of IT & systems architectural frameworks, industry solutions/systems reference model, methodologies & tools with the ability to successfully apply these knowledge to structure a solution to meet complex customer requirements
2.Ability to apply learning & best practices to anticipate customer needs & solve customer problems as well as working with multiple solution teams to integrate technical solutions, foster collaboration, increase repeatability, improve solution quality, resolve conflicts (technical & non-technical) & mentor
3.Able to see big picture with an eye for the details to systematically document all design decisions, impact & resultant system design down to the finest cost impacting details
4.Familiar with at least one or more of the following solution domains:
•Rail and/or road transport solutions
•Safe and/or smart cities solutions
•Telecom OSS solutions
•Defense/home land security C2/C3/C4i solutions
1.Proficient in systems modeling & design tools such as UML, BPMN, BPEL, TOGAF, SysML. Good working knowledge of leading modeling tools such as IBM Rational, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, Visual Paradigm for UML etc.
2.Broad understanding & working knowledge of the latest software & system application development/deployment trend/architecture/technologies such as J2EE, .NET, NoSQL, Internet of Things, cloud computing, ESB, CEP etc with the ability to make good design time trade-off & resultant technology/architecture selection in term of functionality, scalability, reliability, performance, cost
3.Strong solution/system architecture skill with proven track records in designing and/or delivering complex end to end solutions covering core solution components, servers, storage, network, telecommunication, IT security & other supporting infrastructure required to deploy the solutions in a turn-key or utility model
4.Able to lead & drive internal & external partners to contribute towards a winning technical proposal & detailed costing worksheet under demanding schedule
5.Highly motivated & willing to work in a rapidly evolving, fast paced environment
6.Good communications & collaboration skills with strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
7.Masters / Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science / Engineering/ IT with 10+ years of relevant presales and/or delivery experience in related fields. Diploma holders with 11+ years of similar experience are welcomed to apply.
