Responsibilities:
• Plan and conduct risk-based auditing in the areas of operational, financial and compliance audits according to the annual audit plan
• Develop audit programs to appraise the adequacy of the internal control processes and assess compliance with applicable laws, regulations and procedures
• Develop audit reports for submission to the management and the Audit Committee and monitor the implementation of the audit recommendations
• Generate audit scope for outsourced internal audit service providers, monitor and manage the outsourced providers’ progress
• Prepare Audit Committee meeting materials in consultation with Head, Internal Audit
• Assist in conducting independent investigations as directed by management and Audit Committee
• Support the department’s continuous improvement initiatives to enhance audit analytical capabilities and the quality assurance program
Requirements
• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
• Candidates with CIA, CPA & CISA will have an added advantage
• At least 3 years of audit experience
• Good working knowledge and understanding of internal control framework, internal auditing standards, risk management and Government’s Instruction Manual
• Strong interpersonal, communication and report writing skills
• Proficiency in IDEAL or other data analytical tools will be advantageous
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and an effective team player
• Candidates will be deployed for the position based on the working experience and qualification
